Its my pleasure to introduce our institute and a new approach of collaborative learning by the creation of a single forum for responders, stakeholders and regulators. While the core focus will indeed be on safeguarding responders, we will accomplish this task with the inclusion of all stakeholders. The institute will not be bound by traditional schools of thought, rather it will be guided by a collective and ongoing review of historical events, current technologies, industry needs as well as novel concepts. The institute will nurture the development of new approaches akin to a think tank. That said we will not stop at the point of concept validation.
